Instagram Will Now Enable Advertisers to Boost Branded Content Partnerships as Ads
Instagram recently announced the launch of its new Branded Content Ads option. This option provides alternative ways for businesses to expand their platform influencer partnerships.
As explained by Instagram:
"We're introducing the ability for advertisers to promote creators' organic branded content posts as feed ads. 68% of people say they come to Instagram to interact with creators. With branded content ads, businesses have an opportunity to tell their brand stories through creators' voices, reach new audiences and measure impact."
Brands were able to work with popular Instagram users on ad campaigns in order to promote their products through branded content, but those posts would only be seen by the followers of that particular influencer. So how will this new initiative help your brand? Branded content ads will allow advertisers to promote these Instagram ads as if they were any other ad: this expands the opportunities for reach and engagement.
This new option will help solidify influencer marketing partnerships, which is good for both brands and influencers alike. It also allows influencer partners to have more accountability. With the opportunity to utilize influencer-created content in paid promotions, you’ll have access to more insights on performance, which extends beyond the influencer's audience alone.
This will add even more capacity for promotion and data tracking, which helps brands get the most out of their efforts and more relevant results.
Instagram says that Branded Content Ads for the main feed will be available “in the coming weeks, and for stories over the coming months.”
