Staying Active on Social Media When Content is Running Low

Working from home has its perks, but not necessarily when it comes to creating social media content. Many influencers and companies are struggling to pull together interesting content to share when you can’t leave your house, much less arrange photoshoots. Luckily you don’t have to rely just on traditional images for social media posts in order to keep your pages active. There are all kinds of content that you can utilize to keep your audience engaged and coming back to your page during this time.

Re-posts and any kind of funny content is a great way to breathe some life into your account. Users are craving any kind of distractions, and humor is always the best way to keep your mind at ease. Aesthetically pleasing quotes and images are another fan favorite. Follow accounts that share relatable content that makes you laugh, and if there’s ever a post that aligns with your brand then go ahead and re-share it. Most pages are happy for the tag and it generates new content for you, so it’s a win-win!

Get creative. If you are testing a new hobby during quarantine, then go ahead and share it with your audience. Even if the posts are not perfectly on theme with your normal aesthetic, anything is better than silence for weeks on end. Social media feeds are full of people working on digital illustrations, puzzle time-lapse videos, and all sorts of different activities from home. Audiences love to see these types of posts because it gives them inspiration on how they can stay busy too.

Find new inspiration. If your feed is feeling tired and you keep posting the same things over and over again, then do some research and find new pages for creative inspiration. There are influencers and companies out there with every kind of aesthetic you could think of. No matter what your style you are sure to find some inspiration from existing accounts that can help guide you to revamping your own aesthetic.

Try out a viral trend or social media tag challenge. Influencers recently started posting images with mirrors in their backyard and suddenly everyone is trying it out and posting their own versions. You can put your own unique spin on a trend that stays on-brand for your business but also shows your audience that you are up-to-date and gives them the trendy content they are looking for.

Social media allows for endless creative opportunities, and it is important to stay active and engaged with your audience. You don’t have to stick to your normal types of content during quarantine, in fact, audiences are craving something new. Use this time to try switching things up and having fun with your social media accounts.
