Hey there! My name is Starr Mallory Woods and I am a Brand Fellow with The Burnette Agency. I am from the happy 804 - Richmond, Virginia. I am 22 years old and still as excited about my future when I was five! It has always been a dream of mine to move to Atlanta and I am thankful for this opportunity to help make that dream come true.

I am a recent graduate from Radford University with a B.A. in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. Radford quickly became my home away from home. It was filled with some of the best people I could have ever met. They taught me so much about the world and who I am. My spirit grew, my mind was expanded, and my heart found it’s passion - everything communication. I transferred in my sophomore year, and it was by far the best decision I’ve ever made.

While studying Communications, I attended a fantastic conference, such as the Virginia Association of Communication Art and Sciences. Radford University hosted the conference two years ago and expanded my knowledge of what Communication is even more. This is why The Burnette Agency is the perfect place because it is so diverse in its clients and services; there has to be much more to be learned!

COVID-19 took away what I thought was going to be a Graduation of me walking across a stage, shaking the Dean and President’s hand, and then collecting my diploma. Later at the end of the ceremony, taking photos with friends and family and then going out to eat. I thought COVID took it all away. That day looked like nothing I had I planned. I woke up to a decorated house, an amazing breakfast, a parade with all of my family and friends, a picnic with my best friends, and ending the night with my sister, godsister, and loving parents sitting around the TV eating chick fila milkshakes. I say all that to encourage you to find joy in any circumstance. It is the biggest life lesson I have ever learned. I will never forget it. I knew I was ready to start the next chapter.

Becoming a Brand Fellow has been and will continue to be exciting, new, and an experience I will never forget. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know you all and The Burnette Family. This is going to be a great experience for all of us. We can find joy in every situation
